## Description

Key takeaways 31 December, one night only — the yacht is yours alone, never shared with another group. The programme usually runs 22:00–02:00, so midnight happens on the water between the lights of both shores. From €900 for the yacht. That night is priced as one programme, not per person and not per hour. Catering, decoration and music are quoted separately and agreed before you confirm — never added afterwards. Want the party, the show and the crowd instead? See the New Year’s Eve Party Cruise, from €250 per person. New Year’s Eve Yacht Charter in Istanbul There is one night a year when the whole city is the event and every venue in it is oversubscribed. Restaurants sell fixed menus at four times the usual price, hotel ballrooms have been booked since October, and the streets around Taksim close to traffic. The Bosphorus is the one place on 31 December that does not get more crowded the closer you get to midnight — it gets wider. This page is for the private version of that night: one yacht, one group, no strangers on board. If you would rather be at a large party with a stage show and a few hundred other guests, we sell that too and it is linked above. What €900 covers, and what it does not The starting price is for the yacht itself on 31 December — the vessel, the captain and the crew for the evening’s programme. It is a programme price, not an hourly one: on this single night we do not sell two-hour slots, because the yacht cannot turn around and take a second group before midnight. What is quoted separately: catering, decoration, flowers, a photographer, and anything else you choose to add. We put those in writing before you confirm and they do not change afterwards. There is no port tax, no booking fee and no service charge waiting at the end. On every other date of the year, a private Bosphorus charter runs at the standard rate — from €150 an hour with a two-hour minimum. The hours, and when to move them The usual shape of the night is boarding around 22:00 and back alongside at about 02:00. That is built backwards from midnight rather than forwards from dinner: you want to be already out, already positioned and already holding a drink when the count starts, not still looking for the pier. Those hours are a default, not a rule. Families with young children often move the whole programme earlier and skip midnight entirely; a group coming on from dinner elsewhere sometimes boards at 23:00. Because the yacht is yours, the schedule is a conversation rather than a timetable. Where you will be at midnight Everyone on the water that night wants the same thing, which is why position matters more than route. Fireworks go up along both shores and around the bridges, and the difference between a good view and a great one is whether another vessel is sitting between you and them. Our captains plan 31 December around the traffic, not the clock: the yacht is moved into open water and held there well before the first shell goes up. A scheduled cruise cannot do that — wherever it happens to be at midnight is where you watch from. Catering, decoration and music Table: champagne and cocktail service, premium cheese and fruit platters, or a full seated Istanbul dinner menu. Halal, vegetarian, vegan and allergy requirements are straightforward — tell us at the quote stage, not on the night. Sound: the system is yours. Bring a playlist, or bring your own DJ; if equipment is coming, let us know in advance so the crew can prepare power and setup. Decoration: table styling, florals and lighting arranged on request. Crew: professional and discreet for the whole evening. Life jackets in adult and children’s sizes are on board. Who takes the whole yacht on 31 December Couples, most often — a table for two with the city as the room. Families who want the celebration without restaurant noise and without a midnight drive home. Groups of friends who would rather set their own music and their own pace. And companies, who use the same night as a year-end evening for the team or for clients; if that is your case, the corporate yacht events page covers invoicing and programme formats. Booking, deposit and the date that cannot be moved A 30% deposit holds the date and the balance is due before boarding. Payments run through Stripe over a secure connection; card details stay with the payment provider and are never stored by us. Write early. This is the one date in the calendar with no alternative: if 31 December fills, there is no second 31 December to move you to. We plan that night hour by hour and stop taking bookings when the fleet is committed. If the night itself is gone 30 December and 1 January are frequently the better evening anyway. The Bosphorus is empty, the city is still lit for the holiday, and the charter reverts to the standard hourly rate — from €300 for two hours rather than a New Year’s Eve programme price. Worth knowing too that on 31 December the sun sets over Istanbul at about 17:45, so an early-evening sailing on the last afternoon of the year is a third option at a fraction of the midnight cost. From the wheelhouse — Alican, captain On New Year’s Eve the Bosphorus has exactly one problem: everybody wants to be in the same place at the same moment. So I plan that night around the traffic rather than the clock — well before the fireworks start I take the yacht to a spot where nothing is sitting between you and the sky. And ask me the other question too, the one people are shy about: what should we wear? Honest answer — the December wind out here is harder than it looks from the shore, bring one more layer than you think. If you are considering this night with us, write early; we plan those hours one booking at a time. Booking direct — no agency in the middle. Booking sites do not sell what is on this page: they sell seats, we charter you the whole yacht. Write to us and no reseller takes a commission out of your budget, and your request does not pass through a middleman who flattens it into a standard package. Very enterprising guide educated us about the history and culture of the city, good wine and/or Turkish tea and snacks. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunset and some good people to share conversation. Highly recommend!” — Prajwal Prasad · Google review, December 2025“The sunset tour was a great experience! The hosts provided good context to the history of Istanbul. They were very friendly, offered to take different pictures for all families. The usual programme is boarding around 22:00 and back alongside at about 02:00, which puts midnight out on the water. The hours are a default rather than a fixed departure: on 31 December we plan each booking individually, so tell us what suits your group and we will build the night around it. Where exactly do we watch the fireworks from? From open water, in a position the captain takes up before the first shell goes off. Displays run along both shores and around the bridges, and the only thing that ruins the view is another vessel parked in front of you. A scheduled cruise watches from wherever it happens to be at midnight; a private charter does not have to. How is the price calculated on 31 December? As a single programme rather than by the hour, starting at €900 for the yacht with captain and crew. Catering, decoration and music are quoted separately and confirmed in writing before you pay anything. There is no port tax, booking fee or service charge. On any other date the standard rate applies: from €150 an hour, two-hour minimum. Is the price per person? No. €900 is for the whole yacht, whether you are two people or a full group. That is the arithmetic that makes a private charter competitive on this night — per-person New Year’s Eve tickets in Istanbul start around €250 each. What should we wear on 31 December? One more layer than you think. The December wind on the Bosphorus is sharper than it feels on shore. Every yacht has an enclosed saloon, so nobody has to stand outside for four hours — but you will want to be on deck when the fireworks start. How far ahead should we book? As early as you can. It is one night in the year, the hours are planned booking by booking, and once the date is committed there is no alternative date to move to. A 30% deposit holds it; the balance is due before boarding. Are food and drinks included? Not in the €900 — catering is quoted separately so you are not paying for a menu you did not choose. We build it around your group: champagne and canapés, cheese and fruit platters, or a full seated dinner. You are also welcome to bring your own food and drink and the crew will serve it. Can we do this with children? Yes, and the private format is why. If 22:00–02:00 is too late for young children we run an earlier programme that does not go to midnight. Life jackets in children’s sizes are on board, and on a private charter children are never an extra ticket — the price is for the yacht. Could we take 30 December or 1 January instead? Often the better night. The Bosphorus is empty, the city is still lit, and the charter reverts to the standard hourly rate — from €300 for two hours instead of a New Year’s Eve programme price. It is the best alternative if 31 December is gone. What happens if the weather is bad on the night? Weather does not cancel a charter by itself: every yacht has an enclosed, heated saloon alongside the open deck. If the captain calls off a departure for safety, you choose — another date or a full refund. Free cancellation also applies up to 24 hours before departure. Is the price per person? No. Every price we quote covers the entire yacht for your group. Staying several nights rather than chartering for an evening? We also run multi-night yacht stays where the yacht is your hotel as well as your transport — from €1,400 per night for the whole yacht. How many guests can join? From a couple celebrating alone up to 200 guests, the right yacht depends on your group; the largest come from our partner fleet. Tell us your number and we will match the yacht. Where does the charter start? Karaköy, in central Istanbul — easy to reach from both the old town and the new town. How far in advance should we book? Sunset slots on summer weekends fill first. For a specific date and hour, earlier is…
