Everything starts with a WhatsApp conversation. You tell us what your partner likes — roses or wildflowers, champagne or Turkish tea, classical music or their favorite playlist. We build the setup from there. On the day, your partner thinks you are going for a nice Bosphorus cruise. The Route and Timing

Most proposal cruises depart about 90 minutes before sunset. The yacht heads north along the European shore, passing Ortaköy Mosque and under the Bosphorus Bridge. The proposal usually happens near Rumeli Fortress or Maiden Tower, where the views are at their peak. After the big moment, the cruise continues for another hour — giving you time to celebrate, take photos, and enjoy the evening together.

Minimum cruise time is 2 hours. Some couples choose to add dinner on board after the proposal — we have full catering options for that.

Silver Light — elegant and intimate

A two-hour private cruise with light snacks, rose petals on deck and romantic background music. The simplest way to do this well: nothing on board that you did not choose, and nobody on board you did not invite.

Golden Palace — the full evening

Three hours, a private chef’s menu, live violin, custom decoration and a professional photographer on board. This is the version most couples pick when they want photographs of the moment itself, not just of the celebration afterwards.

Diamond Bosphorus — the grand version

Four hours on a superyacht with an à la carte menu, drone footage, champagne service, and fireworks or a laser show where the permits allow it. This one is quoted individually, because the vessel is larger than our standard fleet.

What the numbers actually look like

The yacht is the base of every package. At €150 per hour that is €300 for a two-hour proposal cruise and €450 for three hours — for the whole yacht, not per person. Everything a package adds on top of the yacht — decoration, catering, music, photography — is priced separately and confirmed in writing before you book, so no figure appears for the first time at the end.

Departures are from Karaköy. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before sailing, and any prepayment is refunded in full.

How to compare proposal quotes

Proposal pricing is the least transparent corner of this market. Most operators in Istanbul do not publish a proposal price at all: you describe the evening, they send a number, and you have nothing to measure it against. We checked in August 2026 and could not find published proposal packages on the sites of the operators most often named alongside us.

So the useful skill is not finding the cheapest quote. It is reading the quote you are given.

Ask whether the price is for the whole yacht. If a proposal is quoted per person, something is wrong: a proposal is not a shared product. Our yacht is €150 per hour for the whole vessel with a two-hour minimum, and the number of guests does not change it.

Separate the yacht from the setup. The yacht, the flowers, the cake, the photographer and the musician are different line items with different suppliers. A single bundled figure hides where the margin sits, and it makes it impossible to remove the one thing you did not want. We quote them separately for exactly that reason.

Ask what happens if it rains. A proposal has one date and it is not moveable. Get the weather policy in writing before you pay a deposit; ours is free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure.

Ask who is on board. Crew size, whether a photographer needs a seat, whether the captain knows the plan. The difference between a good proposal and an awkward one is usually choreography, not budget.

Check the licence. A TÜRSAB number means there is a company answering for the evening. We operate under AST Tourism, TÜRSAB A-805, on the Bosphorus since 1967.

Where does the yacht leave from?

Karaköy, on the European side, a short walk from the Galata Bridge. We send the exact meeting point and your boarding time with the confirmation, so nobody is standing on the wrong pier on the evening it matters.

Is the yacht really private, or do we share it?

Private. You book the whole yacht, not seats on it, so the only people on board are the ones you invited and the crew. That is the difference between a proposal and a proposal in front of strangers, and it is the reason we do not sell this by the seat.

How far ahead should we book?

The yacht can often be arranged at short notice. What needs lead time is everything around it — a photographer, live music, a specific decoration, a chef’s menu. Send your date as early as you can and we will tell you straight away what is still possible for it.

Can we have dinner on board after the proposal?

Yes. Full catering is available, from a chef’s menu to something simple to eat while you celebrate, and it is quoted with the rest of your evening. Many couples propose in the first hour and then stay on the water to eat.
