What a yacht party in Istanbul looks like

Your guests arrive at the pier in Karaköy about fifteen minutes before departure. The crew welcome them on board, the yacht leaves the pier and the city starts to move past. The captain handles the route and the crew handle the service, so the host is a guest at their own party rather than the person running it.

Every yacht we use has an enclosed saloon and an open deck, a toilet and life jackets. The deck is for the light and the photographs; the saloon is for dinner and for later. A cold or rainy evening does not cancel a party: the saloon is enclosed and the Bosphorus is sheltered water, so the plan stays the same.

Most parties book three to four hours. Two hours covers a cruise with drinks and a cake; three or four allows a seated dinner, the sunset and dancing.

The whole yacht costs from €150 per hour, with a minimum of two hours. The rate depends on the yacht, and the yacht depends on your group size, so a yacht for a hundred guests costs more per hour than one for fifteen. There is no port tax and no booking fee. Catering, drinks, decoration and music appear as separate lines. Alcohol is not included in any fare. The quote comes back in writing the same day, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure.

Food, drinks and decoration

Catering is arranged to the occasion: a seated dinner, canapés for the deck, or simply a cake. Halal, vegetarian and vegan menus are available on request. If you would rather bring your own cake or food, you can on a private rental; tell us in advance so the crew can store it and serve it at the right moment.

Timing the evening

Many parties start about an hour before sunset, so the evening has three acts: daylight on deck as you leave Karaköy, the sunset itself, then the blue hour and the bridges lighting up on the way back. Sunset in Istanbul moves a great deal across the year, from about 17:37 in early December to 20:40 in late June. A June party starts around 19:30; a December one in the late afternoon. Boarding and getting there

Boarding is at Karaköy as standard. Our home pier is a short walk from tram, ferry and metro. For a private rental we can also collect you at Kuruçeşme, Bebek, Beşiktaş, Kabataş or Kadıköy, with a distance-based surcharge shown as a separate line in the written quote.
