Istanbul 2027 Event Calendar: F1, European Games, Festivals

To spend one of these days on the water: a private yacht from €150 per hour (2-hour minimum, the whole yacht), or the shared sunset group tour from Karaköy at €26 per person (3 November – 18 March) or €34 (19 March – 2 November).

Short answer: The biggest confirmed events in Istanbul in 2027 are the Supercopa de España (2, 3 and 6 February), the UEFA Conference League final at Beşiktaş Stadium (2 June), the 4th European Games (16–27 June), the Bosphorus Cup sailing regatta (16–18 September), the 19th Istanbul Biennial (18 September – 14 November) and the Formula 1 Turkish Grand Prix at Istanbul Park (1–3 October, race on Sunday 3 October). Ramadan begins on 8 February, Ramazan Bayramı is 9–11 March and Kurban Bayramı 16–19 May. No stadium concert has been announced for 2027 yet. Days the Bosphorus closes to ship traffic

A few days a year the strait is closed to transit ships for a race, and race areas on the water can be restricted. We add each date here when it is announced and plan our routes around it. If a closure falls on a date you have booked, we tell you and adjust the route or the departure time.

Watching from the water: piers, private or shared

Most events in this calendar happen on land. Formula 1 cannot be seen from the water: Istanbul Park is inland. The same goes for the stadium matches, the fairs and the concerts; there a yacht is the evening before or after, a daytime cruise on a free day, or the way across the strait. What you can watch from the water: the fireworks on 29 October and at New Year, the regattas where the organiser and the authorities allow it, and in April the tulip shore at Emirgan, just past the second bridge, on a private cruise of three hours or more. On race and fireworks days the captain stays inside the area the authorities allow, and we do not promise a distance or a viewing position.

Boarding. Karaköy, in front of Balıkçı Kemal restaurant; please be at the pier 10 minutes before departure. A private yacht can also pick you up at Kuruçeşme, Bebek, Beşiktaş, Kabataş or Kadıköy on request, with a distance-based surcharge in the written quote. Both stadium districts, Beşiktaş and Kadıköy, are on that list. Galataport, the cruise terminal, is a short walk from our Karaköy pier; cruise passengers can read our Galataport page.

Private or shared. A private yacht is the whole yacht for your group: from €150 per hour, 2-hour minimum. The price covers up to 12 guests, and each guest above 12 adds €25 once. Soft drinks are included; food and alcoholic drinks are quoted separately. The shared sunset group tour runs daily from Karaköy for about two hours, at €34 per person from 19 March to 2 November and €26 from 3 November to 18 March. For winter dates, such as the Supercopa week or Ramadan, a daytime private cruise is the easy choice.

Groups and fixed dates. With our partner fleet we also take groups of up to 200 guests. Agencies and event planners booking for clients can use our page for travel agents; company evenings are described on corporate events on a yacht. Send the date, the group size and the pier you prefer, and the written quote comes the same day. A deposit of at least 30% confirms the date. These are fixed-date events, so the cancellation terms are stated in the written quote. The biggest dates of 2027 (2 June, 16–27 June, 16–18 September and 1–3 October) are worth asking about early.

What are the biggest events in Istanbul in 2027?

The biggest confirmed so far: the Supercopa de España on 2, 3 and 6 February (see our Supercopa page), the UEFA Conference League final on 2 June, the 4th European Games on 16–27 June, the Bosphorus Cup regatta on 16–18 September, the 19th Istanbul Biennial from 18 September to 14 November and Formula 1 at Istanbul Park on 1–3 October. Among the trade fairs, the IDEF defence fair on 3–9 May is confirmed too. The Tulip Festival in April, İKSV’s music and jazz festivals in summer and the Istanbul Marathon, held on the first Sunday of November in 2023–2026, are expected in their usual months, but their 2027 dates are not announced yet (checked 23 October 2026).

When is Formula 1 in Istanbul in 2027?

Friday 1 to Sunday 3 October 2027, at Istanbul Park in Tuzla on the Asian side: practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday 3 October. It is round 17 of 24 in the calendar that Formula 1, the FIA and TOSFED published on 16 September 2026, and F2 and F3 race the same weekend. Are there any big concerts in Istanbul in 2027?

No stadium concert has been announced for 2027 yet (checked 24 October 2026). The shows on the calendar so far are arena and open-air park concerts: Nevermore at Volkswagen Arena on 27 May (reported in the press), Slash at Bonus Parkorman on 22 July (reported in the press) and Manowar at KüçükÇiftlik Park on 31 July (announced by the band). We add a stadium show once the artist or promoter announces it; dates that appear only on listing sites stay out.

When is Ramadan 2027 in Istanbul?

The first fast is on Monday 8 February 2027, with the first tarawih prayer on the evening before. Ramazan Bayramı (Eid al-Fitr) is Tuesday 9 to Thursday 11 March, and 8 March is a half day. Which events take place on the Bosphorus itself?

On the water: the Bosphorus Cup regatta (16–18 September, with one Bosphorus race day), the spring Bosphorus regatta (early May in 2026), the Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swim (late August, date not announced), the fireworks on 29 October and at New Year, and Maritime and Cabotage Day on 1 July (programme not announced). On the shore: the tulips at Emirgan in April. Near the Bosphorus, by Dolmabahçe: Beşiktaş Stadium, for the Supercopa semi-final on 3 February and the Conference League final on 2 June. Can we see an event from a yacht?

Only what happens on the water or on the shore. Fireworks can be watched from the water, and regattas where the organiser and the authorities allow it, always inside the area set on the day; we do not promise a distance or a viewing position. Formula 1 cannot be seen from the water, because Istanbul Park is inland. Matches, fairs and concerts cannot be followed from the water either, even at Beşiktaş Stadium by Dolmabahçe: it is near the Bosphorus, but the palace and the coastal road lie between it and the water. So the yacht is the evening before or after, a daytime cruise on a free day, or the way across the strait to Kadıköy.

How often is this calendar updated?

We re-check every source each month, and on the day an organiser announces something new, such as F1 ticket sales or session times, the European Games venues, a stadium concert or İKSV’s 2027 festival dates.
