Wedding on a Yacht in Istanbul — A Bosphorus Wedding Like No Other
There is something about saying “I do” with the Bosphorus stretching out behind you, the minarets of Sultanahmet catching the last light of the day, and your closest people gathered on a private yacht. It is intimate, it is dramatic, and it is entirely yours. Constantine Yachts has been making Bosphorus weddings happen for years — from small civil ceremonies with 10 guests to grand celebrations with 50.
A yacht wedding in Istanbul is not just a venue choice. It is a statement. No shared spaces, no strangers walking through your photos, no noise from the next event. Just you, your partner, your guests, and the most beautiful waterway in the world.
How a Yacht Wedding Works
Most couples choose a sunset departure. The yacht sets off from our dock near Kuruçeşme, and the ceremony takes place on the open deck as you cruise past Dolmabahçe Palace. The officiant — which we can help arrange — conducts the ceremony while your guests stand around you with the Bosphorus Bridge overhead.
After the ceremony, the yacht continues along the strait. Dinner is served on deck or in the indoor lounge, depending on the weather and your preference. The route passes Ortaköy Mosque, Rumeli Fortress, Maiden Tower — each one a natural backdrop for photos. By the time dessert is served, the city is fully lit and the Bosphorus is reflecting a thousand lights.

Small Weddings and Elopements
Not every wedding needs 200 guests. Some of our most beautiful events have been elopements — just the couple, a witness or two, and the Bosphorus. If you are coming to Istanbul specifically to get married in an unforgettable setting, a yacht elopement on the Bosphorus is hard to beat. We handle everything: the paperwork, the flowers, the champagne, the photos.
Larger Celebrations
For bigger weddings — 30 to 50 guests — we have larger vessels with multiple deck levels, a dedicated dance floor, and full catering capability. Some couples use the yacht for the ceremony and first dance, then continue the celebration at a waterside venue. We can coordinate both parts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can we have a legal ceremony on the yacht?
Yes. We can arrange an officiant and help with the legal requirements for getting married in Istanbul. International couples often combine a legal ceremony at the municipality with a symbolic ceremony on the yacht.
What is the best season for a yacht wedding?
June through September offers warm evenings and reliable sunsets. May and October are also beautiful with fewer crowds. Winter weddings have a cozy, dramatic feel — the Bosphorus lit up in the cold is something special.
How many guests can the yacht hold?
Our yachts accommodate 10 to 50 guests depending on the vessel. Tell us your guest count and we will match you with the right yacht.
How far ahead should we book?
For summer weekends, three to four weeks minimum. For weekday or off-season weddings, one to two weeks is usually enough. Popular dates like June Saturdays book early.
