Contemporary Istanbul 2027 dates announced? Not yet. TOBB’s fair calendar lists 21–26 September 2027 at Tersane Istanbul; the fair itself has not announced its dates yet (checked 22 October 2026).
Short answer: The 19th Istanbul Biennial, organised by İKSV, is open to the public free of charge from 18 September to 14 November 2027, with press and professional previews on 14–17 September. Its main venue is Artİstanbul Feshane in Eyüpsultan, on the Golden Horn; the other venues, the title and the concept are not announced yet. Contemporary Istanbul, the annual art fair, is reported to hold its 22nd edition with a “Focus Germany” programme. TOBB’s fair calendar lists 21–26 September 2027 at Tersane Istanbul; the fair itself has not announced its dates yet (checked 22 October 2026). A yacht does not take you to the venues; a private cruise into the Golden Horn and along the Bosphorus fits before or after a day at the exhibitions.

The 19th Istanbul Biennial: dates, venue, curators
The Istanbul Biennial is organised by İKSV, the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts. The 19th edition is open to the public free of charge from Saturday 18 September to Sunday 14 November 2027; press and professional previews run from Tuesday 14 to Friday 17 September (İKSV, 15 October 2026). A yacht booking with us does not include preview access.
The curators are LIU Ding, an artist and curator, and Carol Yinghua LU, an art historian and curator; together they were the artistic directors of the 8th Yokohama Triennale in 2024 (İKSV, 24 April 2026). The title and the conceptual framework are not announced; İKSV expects to announce the framework in December 2026 (İKSV, 15 October 2026). Its open call for artists (19 October – 22 November 2026) is framed around war and peace; that is the call, not the exhibition’s title.
The main venue, Artİstanbul Feshane, is the restored Feshane-i Amire building on the Golden Horn shore in Eyüpsultan, reopened by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) in June 2023 after restoration. Other venues will be announced later. Feshane is on the inner Golden Horn, not near our Karaköy pier: plan the exhibition visit by land.
Why a 19th edition in 2027: the 18th Biennial’s first leg (20 September – 23 November 2025) drew over 600,000 visitors across eight venues; its planned 2026–27 legs were cancelled after the curator stepped down, and the 19th edition takes the 2027 slot (İKSV, 29 December 2025).
Contemporary Istanbul 2027: what is known
Contemporary Istanbul is an annual contemporary art fair held in Istanbul. Its 2027 edition will be the 22nd, with a “Focus Germany” programme, as reported by Habertürk (16 September 2026), Forbes Türkiye (17 September 2026) and Türkiye Today with AA (1 October 2026), which quotes the fair’s chairman. Habertürk and Forbes Türkiye link it to the 70th year of the 1957 Türkiye–Germany cultural agreement and to the 2027 documenta year. The reports name different German cities, so we leave them out.
TOBB’s 2027 fair calendar (TOBB is the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye; calendar updated 30 September 2026) lists the 22nd edition for Tuesday 21 to Sunday 26 September 2027 at Tersane Istanbul, a restored Ottoman shipyard on the Golden Horn and the venue of the last three editions. The fair itself has not announced its dates yet (checked 22 October 2026), so these dates are reported, not confirmed. The Art Newspaper (1 October 2026) also reported that the fair returns “on the same week” as the 19th Biennial, which opens on Saturday 18 September.

| 22nd (2027) | 21–26 September 2027 in TOBB’s fair calendar; not yet announced by the fair | Tersane Istanbul (as listed by TOBB) | TOBB 2027 fair calendar, updated 30 September 2026 |
The 2026 edition showed 70 galleries from 16 countries (Habertürk) and closed with 38,500 visitors (Türkiye Today with AA, 1 October 2026). We do not sell fair tickets, and a yacht booking does not include fair, preview or VIP access.
The Golden Horn by yacht
Both venues on this page stand on the Golden Horn: Feshane, the Biennial’s main venue, on the Eyüp side, and Tersane Istanbul, the fair’s venue from 2024 to 2026 and the venue TOBB’s calendar lists for 2027. Our Karaköy pier is at the mouth of the inlet. On a private charter the yacht passes under the Galata Bridge and sails in past Eminönü, Süleymaniye, Fener and Balat; from the water you see the restored shipyard of Tersane and, further in, the shore toward Eyüp where Feshane stands.
The route is private-charter only; the shared sunset group tour stays on the Bosphorus. On our Golden Horn yacht tour page, two hours covers a loop toward Eyüp and back, and three hours adds the lower Bosphorus. How far in you go depends on the yacht; the captain sets the turning point on the day. It is a cruise, not a transfer: we do not land guests at Feshane or Tersane or pick them up there.
It suits galleries hosting their collectors in the opening week, collectors with a free evening between venue visits, and companies that pair the exhibitions with a corporate dinner cruise. Groups of up to 200 guests are possible with our partner fleet; the written quote says which route the yacht you book can take.
Planning: September to November 2027 is busy

Prices, piers and booking
A private yacht is priced per yacht, not per seat: from €150 per hour with a two-hour minimum, and from €120 per hour for six hours or more. The rate covers up to 12 guests; each guest above 12 adds €25, once per charter. For example, 20 guests for three hours is €450 + €200 = €650. Soft drinks are included; catering and alcoholic drinks are quoted separately. There is no port tax and no booking fee.
The shared sunset group tour (about two hours on the Bosphorus, daily from Karaköy) is €34 per person up to 2 November 2027 and €26 from 3 November 2027. It does not enter the Golden Horn.
Boarding is at Karaköy, in front of Balıkçı Kemal restaurant. Kuruçeşme, Bebek, Beşiktaş, Kabataş and Kadıköy are available on request, with a distance-based surcharge in the written quote (boarding points). A late-night return after an evening event is possible on request, confirmed in writing in the same quote.
The written quote comes the same day (contact). A deposit of at least 30% confirms the date, and the cancellation terms are stated in the written quote. Agencies booking for clients: see yacht charter for travel agents.
Every other 2027 date, from the Supercopa in February to F1 in October, is in our Istanbul events calendar 2027.
Constantine Yachts is an independent yacht charter company and is not affiliated with İKSV, the Istanbul Biennial or Contemporary Istanbul. We do not sell exhibition or fair tickets.

The F1 weekend and 29 October are fixed-date events, so the cancellation terms are stated in the written quote.
